Cat-Cow Stretch

The Cat-Cow Stretch is beneficial for increasing flexibility and circulation in the spine.


  1. Start on your hands and knees with your wrists directly under your shoulders and your knees under your hips.

  2. Inhale as you slowly arch your back, dropping your stomach towards the floor and lifting your head and tailbone towards the ceiling (Cow position).

  3. Exhale as you round your back towards the ceiling, tucking your chin towards your chest and drawing your navel towards your spine (Cat position).

  4. Continue to slowly alternate between Cow and Cat positions for 1-2 minutes.
